Whatever the rules, enforce them consistently.
Bat flipping is bad sportsmanship. This was never a thing until the self-esteem movement began playing.
sheesh- just imagine if he started juggling kitty cats to celebrate instead
We cannot have microaggression. If even one person feels like theyre worth less because of the aggressive actions or words of a another person - that person must be removed.
He didn’t get ejected for flipping his bat. He got ejected for carry the bat all the way to first base,(that’s a no-no) before flipping his bat. Didn’t see the game, but what I’ve read, that team(Grand Canyon) were being assholes the whole series. I guess that’s what happens when you lose 3 games in a 4 game series.
Video of the flip. He was about 2/3rds of the way to first when he did it. Should have let the players resolve it themselves. My son was playing catcher when a player coming to home broke his hand. Took him to the hospital for treatment and we were told later that everytime the kid came up to bat, he got plnked.

In a “fair” inclusive diverse and equitable world all those home runs would have been equally distributed to the other team as well.
“I Thought This Was America?”
Used to be.
I learned in little league in three 70s you don’t bat flip.
Act like you’ve done it before.
The umpire saved the batter from being plunked with a fastball in the head in the next at bat. Bat flipping is considered poor behavior in baseball.
When I coached baseball I always told my players to lay the bat down and run the bases hard. Act like you’ve done it before.
I think sooner or later some umpire is gonna get his ass kicked in front of everyone. Some of the seem nuts.
Ha. Someone has to have the image of Stan’s dad in handcuffs with his pants down around his ankles. Hilarious. “I thought this was America!”
