Why the climate art protests are so powerful
MSNBC ^ | 10/29/22 | By Zeeshan Aleem, MSNBC Opinion Writer/Editor

An angry scream. A pained moan. An astonished “Oh my gosh.”

Those were the first three reactions that could be heard after two British climate activists threw tomato soup on one of Vincent Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings at the National Gallery in London in a video that went ultra-viral earlier this month.

The emotional register of those reactions — rage, sadness, shock — were a preview of what was to come. They foreshadowed the most common responses countless people on social media had to the action, during which one activist queried: “What is worth more? Art or life?”

In a sane world they would be stopped by the guards before doing this.

Instead a couple of weedy vegans do destructive stuff and the guards go "oh I am on my wine break".

Don't let granny squeak her rubber soled shoes though. The guards will rough her up and throw her out for that.

It’s obvious the art destroying snots never read Adam Smith’s pamphlet “Wealth of Nations”.

In a sane country, they should be shot dead by guards when doing this.

Naw. I light hickory shampoo would be more than enough to deter these metrosexual faggots and trannies from destroying public property in the future

I don’t know. It appears they may have glued their hands to the wall?

If so, that seems like a good time to spray them with some mace, strip all their clothes off and throw a hornet’s next full of stirred up insects in between them, and encase their heads in burlap bags that contain a crazed, angry badger.

This has happened more than once. What did museum security think people with “Just Stop Oil” t-shirts were going to do: just have a day of enjoying culture?

I’d say that those works of art are worth more than the protestors’ lives. The art is timeless. No one would miss these worthless fools

Would burning one of the homosexual tranny porn books in a children’s library be considered righteous if it was “for the climate?”

Just imagine how stupid they are going to feel in a few years when the world doesn’t end and they start to realize how stupid they were.

“ How can we condemn the acts when their premise is sound and their cause is so righteous?”

That’s exactly their take on the BLM riots.

From the article:

Second, there is something brilliant going on here as a form of performance art.

Well, then the artists should be forced to remain glued to the wall. Anything else, such as freeing them, is destroying the "art" ...

Start using tasers on these morons. They will quickly learn that there is a price to be paid for stupidity.

Those idiots deserve a thrashing that would hurt so much they would not go near a painting for the rest of their miserable lives!

To glorify their crime is worthy of thrashing the “opinion” jerk that wrote the article.
I’m beginning to hate the left for their hate of all that is good.

These kids have been woefully undereducated.

One of the first methods we learned about in logic and propaganda courses was “False Choice.”

It works well with very young toddlers: “Little Johnny, would you like to go to bed now or in 5 minutes?” Little Johnny’s brain weighs the two choices and picks “In 5 minutes.” Then in 5 minutes when you send him to bed, if he whines you remind him, “That’s what you wanted.” His little brain somehow knows that’s not REALLY what he wanted but can’t figure out how to express it, so reluctantly feeling trapped by the choice he made, he goes off to bed.

These kids really think the world has to decide between “life” and “art.” They have the brain of a 4 year old toddler.

IF this happened in Singapore or God forbid an Arab nation they would be lucky to only be caned in public.

In Iran they would stone them.

In Afghanistan they would chop their right hand off.

In Saudi Arabia they would be throw in prison.
