I saw an interview of him not long go. He was at peace with the Lord and apparently had been for a while.

I am the same age as Toby so this hits home how short life is.
Saw him play live a couple times and he had a score of big hits on the country charts during his long career.

He owned racehorses and was at Remington Park conducting an interview what seemed not too long ago. Raising a Red Solo Cup in his honor.
Rest in peace.

Wow! I sure wasn’t expecting to hear this, today.
May God comfort and guide his loved ones.

Just a couple days ago I was asking my wife how he's doing since she follows him online and she just said "Not good".
This is horrible news, and I was really hoping he could beat it. May he rest in peace.

RIP. He certainly upset all the right people. Beer for My Horses is now on the rotation for the foreseeable future. Actually, it already was, just more now.

Always liked him and his music. Fun guy, great American. Wife always tears up for the Red, White and Blue.
RIP!

Back in 2007 Toby was performing for the troops in Baghdad and come under rocket attack, luckily we were able to shoot it down preventing any casualties.
Really like his music.

Good man. If just one person turned to God through his words and music, he will have lived a good life. …but I believe it was more than one…
