Reacting to the drone attack on US troops in Jordan by Iranian proxies that killed three soldiers and wounded 25-30 others, on today's Morning Joe Scarborough called for direct strikes against Iran itself.
As Scarborough put it to NBC analyst and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe James Stavridis:
"How much longer is the United States going to allow its troops to be shot at by people who are being funded by Iran? At what point do we not just go to the source of the problem, which has been the source of the problem since 1979, and go to Iran? If Iran, if Iran wants to continue killing Americans, or trying to kill Americans, should we not at least sink one of their ships? Should we not at least blow up their air force? Should we not at least blow up their oil fields? Pick one of the three. I don't care."

When war comes, many folks reflexively rally around the flag and around the president. It doesn’t always last, but it does happen.
Biden is slipping in the polls. Trump-haters know that a good, old-fashioned war would give Biden a boost. So a war we must have.

Yemen does have oil fields. Not much flows at 81K barrels per day, but it’s more than 0. Their oil fields are hundreds of miles from the Red Sea coast. Pretty easy to repair, too, when flow is so small.
As for who funds who, the US funds both the Palestinian Authority and Israel. Iran funding Yemen means nothing.

We (Reagan) never retaliated against them taking our people hostage for 444 days. For some reason, no POTUS except for Trump did anything “kinetic” to them. Instead, we destroyed Iraq and Saddam, making them stronger. It is bewildering.
I voted for the bushes 4 times.
Ultimately they made me regret it 4 times.
The last thing this country needs is another war.
