I have met 2 people who swear they were at Woodstock. I had no reason not to believe them.
I was 15yo in Japan. Had no idea it was happening.
I regretted not doing that for decades, but the older I got the less appealing the massive sea of humanity (and associated issues) seemed.
Nowadays I think Cracker Barrel is way too crowded.
This guy was a friend of a friend. He was there for sure and even made it into the movie. I also met a woman who was there. The both had interesting stories to tell.

I was there from Friday until Sunday morning. Had to work Monday so we bailed home to get some food and sleep.
How about people who attended the Atlanta International Pop Festival in 1969 and 1970?
I was 14 so my parents would not let me go. I do remember the Life Magazine layout on the that came in the mail and my Mother was appalled.
Why?
but when you think of all the good guys getting killed or maimed in Nam, it's almost insanity for one group to be under assault and the other privilege people to be drugged up and filthy at a concert,,,
because we had such an arrogant and self centered group of idiots is why our society is where it's at today.

Blame the Democrat globalist corrupt warmongers in DC, not a bunch of justifiably scared and disillusioned kids at a concert.
If that concert was today, certainly the eff-bee-eye would have infiltrated the crowd, and stirred up a riot where dozens if not hundreds would probably have been killed.
I was at Woodstock for most of the day and night Saturday (Santana, Country Joe-give me an F, John Sebastian, etc.). I was new to the culture and could only make it to around midnight Saturday. And then a 10 mile walk back to the car. I didn’t get high so I still have a good memory of that day.
Another former hippie turned conservative.
My wife was. We were contemplating going, but ultimately decided against going. It wasn’t really a serious contemplation, as we were just about to start our senior year n high school. My wife, however, was 13 who ended up going with her cousins.
I was in seminary. Geographically close to Woodstock, but in no other day.
I was in Army training at Fort Gordon, GA during that music fest.
“He is a flaming liberal, and the acid may well have caused it.”

I did more than my share of acid and I love Trump.
If anyone on this board is more Conservative than me, I’d love to meet them.
It’s not the acid. Acid gets such a bad rap.
Me too.
Beat me to it, gentlemen! Welcome Home..
I was 13 and living in rural Iowa. Knew nothing about it until there was an AP? UPI? picture on the front cover of the local paper of nude teens.
Too young, too far away, too square.
“Dodging bullets at the time. Nevertheless, had I been available, I would not have gone.”
Ditto.
Basic training here.
Is Woodstock a place?
