I have met 2 people who swear they were at Woodstock. I had no reason not to believe them.

None of us were 4-F or at Woodstock. We were “vacationing” at government expense in SE Asia at that time.

I have been to Bethel Woods a few times, too.

That’s when I discovered I was a Conservative. Offered a ride to Bethel, NY for a music festival (Woodstock) or work 3 days at a country club with pay, tips and free booze and lodging...the rest is history.

I saw the movie a few years later. A few times. I like the music.

I was in Canada. I couldn’t get there. No license at 12.

If everyone who was at Woodstock was really at Woodstock, the United States would have tipped over.

The only guy I know who credibly claimed to be at Woodstock was a nerdy guy who grew up in Brooklyn and says he had no idea what to expect when friends took him along. His most vivid memory is his wingtip dress shoes being ruined.

Got discharged in December of 68. Met my future wife in spring of 69! We clicked from the city to upstate and I was back in country with the layer of weed everywhere. Remember Janice Joplin, but that's about all. The rain brought back too many emotions so we finally got back on terra firma. Never forget how she help me when I became a bit emotional.
