Rotor tip damage on an RC heli will unbalance the head enough to cause additional damage even if it will still fly for a bit.
The queen is dead. Long live the queen.
Thanks for the DM article.
I've been here and there watching for updates from NASA and all that there appeared today (hence the date of the flight noted in the title of this thread) was the 72 flight info on the log.
I had checked up on general news items shortly ahead of that as well.
Thus it was all crossing in the info stream as I went about my day otherwise.
You didn't need to be rude, but thanks for posting a little about yourself.
That wasn’t rude it was expedient and to the point. I don’t have time to waste with buttholes
I’ve heard about every silly flight and the first was no different from the last
Except it finally crashed and put us out of its misery
I can’t imagine how many millions of dollars it cost to do what I can do in the back yard for about $100
After Three Years on Mars, NASA's Ingenuity Helicopter Mission Ends
While the helicopter remains upright and in communication with ground controllers, imagery of its Jan. 18 flight sent to Earth this week indicates one or more of its rotor blades sustained damage during landing and it is no longer capable of flight.
I can’t imagine the cost of FR server space to house comments akin to “I don’t care I really don’t care look at me see how little I care really don’t care ummmmhmm nope……not one bit I also don’t own a TV or watch football or any sports and that gal who shot the bad guy who lived weeeeelll she needs more range time..”
We don’t have any other those type do we? 🤣
We don’t have those types around here 😉
Well played.
You s'pose they'll send a CFI up there when it's due for its biennial?
R. Shimon Ben Gamliel says: This section will be uprooted from its place and written in its rightful place in the future (but for now it is in its correct location). Why is it written here? So as to separate between first and second retribution [3]. Second retribution is "and the people grumbled". First retribution is "and they traveled from the mountain of G-d (i.e., they eagerly run away from G-d's presence)".Where is it its appropriate place? Rav Ashi says: "In the section dealing with the disposition of the Israelites according to their banners and their travelling arrangements" (Numbers 1:52-2:34, Shabbath 116a).
אָמַר רַב אָשֵׁי: בַּדְּגָלִים
According to the waypoints log, Flight 71 occurred on Sol 1024, and Flight 72 on Sol 1036. (They are listed on the main Flight Log page as Sols 1023 and 1035 respectively.)
Together with the details on this post, but in short here...
>>>
The story we are left with [from the Flight Log as-is] is that forward progress "ended" with Flight 70, although 71 was actually supposed to go forward by ~358 ft.<<<The last movement now given is a distance that is ~358.. in reverse.
🤔
Well I wouldn't know how it all went down; I merely observed the anomaly.
Each flight on the waypoints log comprises 50 lines of information.
The Flight Nos. appear on the lines ending with 08, or 58. Examples:
Flight 0 (birthday) -- line 8
Flight 1 -- line 58
Flight 7 -- line 358
Flight 42 -- line 2108
Flight 44 -- line 2208
Flight 70 -- line 3508
Who Knows 50? The distinguished number of transcendence. The progression from 49 to 50 has, as its precedent, the stepping stone from 7 to 8. The soul is likened to the 7th center of holiness within the body that sanctifies the 6 directions of the physical world toward spiritual pursuits.2 Through this process, the soul is able to elevate itself, and the body with it, toward perfection.3 In number terms, the 7 is elevated beyond to reach 8, which is synonymous with entry onto the higher transcendental plane.4 And the arrival at 50 similarly marks the entry into this exalted state.
With the announcement of end of the three-year mission [on Tu B'Shvat], news articles often mention the cost that had been put out by NASA at the beginning: $85m.
Which brings me around to the anomalies of the data reversals, because according to the documentation, the last flight, 72 [חסד], of broken wing -- the final 50 so to speak -- occurred on both Sol 1035 and Sol 1036.
And it just so happens that the 85 letters are bookended by reversed 50s, the inverted nuns in Numbers/BeMidbar 10:
׆
10.35. And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let your enemies be scattered; and let them who hate you flee before you:
10.36. And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, to the many thousands of Israel:

Well, there are not only the verses pertaining to the travelling of the camps with their flags.
There's this key [birth] date in Presidential history for the opening reading on Flag Day 1946/Sivan 15.
Rav Ashi says: "בַּדְּגָלִים", with the flags, not with *their* flags.
That suggests another dark horse candidate-location, because there's only one place in the Tanakh with a literal string of flags, "דגלים", and that's only because they stretch across two words, in Psalm 20 [נִדְגֹּל; יְמַלֵּא]
In that case,
"Where is it its appropriate place?"
With the flags (i.e. Psalm 20),
"in the day that we call"
