I forgot my password to sign into Intuit when I tried to install TurboTax.
I had to call their customer service to get to the page to reset the password. Their representative sent me an email with a link to enter some information.
They require you to send a picture of your license or passport before you can reset the password.
This seem excessive just to reset a password.
Has anyone had any experiences like this?
Thanks
I would hold fire on Intuit until we know more. This sounds like something DOJ or other alphabet agency imposed new regulation.
HD no longer allows check-out clerk to scan a code when you show military ID. Service counter clerk blamed change on a vice president.
Fire them. The two banks I use, and Charles Schwab have never tried anything like that.
It's worse than that. So they get images of my ID supposedly for verification. What in Heaven's name are they going to verify them against? The whole exercise is so loaded with false premises the bureaucrat who dreamed this up should be canned, along with his or her immediate superiors.
Meta asks on lockout, I helped a friend’s mother get back into her account and would have objected (to both FB and the ridiculous privacy intrusion) but at a feisty 92, she wanted what she wanted.

Another reason not to shop there!

That figures.
That explains it better. Thank you.
1. Would Laz hit it?
2. Do FReepers fail to first read the entire article before commenting?
3. Do FReepers post comments before checking their syntax, grammar, and spelling?
Regards,
I believe there are far too many networks connected to the internet that don’t really need to be.
Absolutely right. These companies need air-gaps between their customer databases and the internet. The sloppiness is incredible. We just got a notice from Delta Dental that they lost all their customer info to hackers.
Tell them your a friend of Hunter Biden everything will be okay.
There’s a lot of tax fraud you should be glad they verify
If someone ripped off your password you would be bitching TT didn’t ask for verification!
Probably using the 'cloud' version.
I tried that once years ago and it didn’t work. Said it wasn’t me. I just sent you a picture of my driver’s license and you say it isn’t me. I don’t use them anymore.
