How safe are you nowadays on commercial airliners? How safe will you be tomorrow? Are airlines sacrificing safety at the altar of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)?” Who do you want piloting the jetliner you’re on, the best, most experienced pilots or box-check hires?
Flipping the page, medical schools will graduate bevvies of DEI doctors as the decade unwinds. What if you need open-heart surgery? Cancer treatment? Won’t you need a sound diagnosis for starters? Will the most capable physicians attend you? Or will you have to settle for the right color, right gender, right sexual orientation, pick-your-pronouns person in a white lab coat?
The nation is being plagued by incompetence. Plenty of that is from lax parenting, subpar education, trophies for just showing up, and a debauched culture that discounts hard work and competence. Forget excellence.
While that’s bad enough, DEI adds another corrosive layer. People are receiving degrees and certifications for superficialities. Merit is shunned. Standards re being dropped in too many instances and exceptions made. Victimhood is ginned up and fobbed off as part of progressive social reform.
Incompetence resulting from DEI policies may sour your shopping experience at Lululemon, but it won’t cost you your life.
Not so in other ways.
Fox News reported on January 14 that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) believes that passenger safety is best served by hiring from “special emphasis” categories. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism."

When I wondered how people who seem to lack much Intelligence made it through law school, I was told that there is group work being done with the group getting the same grade. I did not think group work grading could happen in medical school, but perhaps it is.
We’re no longer a republic.
Deep State succeeded.
Because of that, and until our republic is restored, Deep State doesn’t give a crap if you crash.

Need to worry more about “DEI” at the FAA ATC centers more than at the airlines...most of the “incidents” lately have been controller driven.
On the other hand there is Boeing and the 737-Max...more of a “bean-counter” issue tho.?
Pray that one of these DEI planes doesn’t drop out of the sky onto your house.
might be ok with dei hires to fly strictly the government aircraft that shuttle these tools around. especially air force one while biden is still Prez.

History has a habit of rhyming. Look at the story of the automobile industry, particularly pre-industry. Think about build quality during baseball's World Series. Workers who had to be given alarm clocks in order to arrive at their shifts on time, after growing up with no time management at all.
This is the corporate setting. Several times I directed the resolution of failures where there was a political element to what actually happened. Somehow, I had to resolve the actual cause of the failure without stepping on any political toes by admitting it was those political decisions at fault. Translating this into more governmental politics, if DEI was the cause of the deaths of citizens it’s likely that could never be admitted to or revealed. Therefore, the solution, removing DEI as a potential cause by demoting or firing those special people from responsible jobs, could never happen.
We are so screwed.
It is just like the comedy "Soul Plane" movie starring Snoop Dog.

I often wonder if Obama, Hunter, their spouses, children, etc ever even attended classes or were they just paid for diplomas?
2015 the obama administration started destroying ATC in this country!
I do recall that Chelsea Clinton traveled all over the world with her mother for much of her time at Stanford, but she was given special college credits for something she was doing on these travels.
My wife was referred to a DEI Doctor. After realizing that she likely got a free ride (African name, but born in the US), I said no thanks and found another doctor. They weren’t happy, but tough Shiite, it’s pretty much every man for himself at this point when it comes to medical car.
