"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.

Widened the aspiration? In this case it didn’t seem necessary. The power is/was there. Just go thru it to make sure all is up to snuff. This particular 454 is in the “truck” version of a 3/4 ton Jimmy Suburban. The faktery ignition system got itself changed out. Low ratio gears and overdrive along with back fit oversize tires keep the engine raps down. The fender wells on the 96’s limit how much extra tire one can use. Two inches o/s diameter is about the limit without screwing with suspension or cutting sheet metal.
The Xtra thing I do with this one is load two hundred pounds of sandbags clear back by the tail gate. It takes just enough off the front axle to make it hold the road super good in the mountains. And for night runs it has a flame thrower mounted in the cow catcher which all-but starts forest fires.
You mentioned EFI. I’m not sure when they changed up that system but my older trucks used 15 PSI for the fuel supply, and could be problematic. This one uses a 60 PSI fuel pump, which I took out of the fuel tank, and I back-fit it with an industrial size moisture separator. Doesn’t wet down fuel filters any more. And, as I noted, it goes where I point it——fast.

IIRC, there was some question about the firing salute during the inauguration - stuff like the location of the firing battery, the number of shots fired, etc. The thought at the time was that they were firing a “funeral salute” rather than a Presidential salute (I think that supposedly they only fired 19 times instead of 21).
Army regs don’t have any reference to number of cannon shots for a funeral. Only reference that I could find is below:

(1) The time interval between rounds in a cannon salute will be three seconds except as follows:

Mr G went into the hospital last Friday with covid. I told the Dr NO remdesivir. He made notes on his chart and said it is one of those things that *might* help, or might not, so with my objection he wouldn’t get it. He didn’t seem to care much. Lots of people running around him without masks too...... until the nazi charge nurse on the covid floor, who required the full get up. (I ignored her)
Good. After 6 hours getting him settled in, I went home and settled in to my own case of covid. Then 7 inches of snow. Tomorrow we get the ice. It’s been a fun week.
