Something similar happened to a co-worker.

The plumbers have worked on the toilets and there was still air in the lines. People continued to use them because, well, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

So he figured he’d flush before using it.

Went into the ladies room at a KFC and it looked like someone dismantled a car engine in there. There was oil and who knows what all over the sink and floor. I told the manager and he just shrugged and went on his business - no, I did not eat there.
