I never understood the “fine free” policies which are sweeping libraries across the nation. Are they considered “racissss?”
What incentive is there to return a book anymore?

Our County libraries quit charging fines decades ago. I think failing to return could cause your privileges to be shut down, though.

Never take any course where they make you read “Beowulf” (or I personally would add “Gravity’s Rainbow”).

New York State has ended library fines...period....and any outstanding monies due on overdue books.
