Humblegunner is alive and doing very well!

I spoke to John (Humblegunner) the last two days to see where he was, was he okay, etcetera, and I was absolutely floored to hear how well he's doing!

He left FR to attend Divinity School with the intent to pursue a life of Christianity and live in the Love of Our Lord. He had no internet there, or cell phone access, and devoted his time to becoming closer to Jesus and to God. He mentioned he may even become an ordained Minister.

His parents sadly passed away, but left him a 200 acre cattle ranch and a stack of money, with which he has built a house on the land and purchased a new truck, both of which he is grateful and proud to have.

I got the sense he'd return to FR, but don't expect him to change THAT much. 😂 He'll still be the grouchy old Humblegunner we all know and love. He'd just be doing it with the blessing and love of Jesus, these days. 😊

We discussed organizing a Free Republic shoot, heck, he's got the property for it! I'm wondering about March or April '24.

Oh, anyway I found the PERFECT time to soak the Market Pantry spiral-cut ham in water. Just 4 hours. I picked up 4 hams at Target of just over 10 lbs each. The first one I soaked in water overnight for a total of about 20 hours. Waaaaaay too long since I had to add some salt back in to get rid of the bland taste. However, the second ham I soaked for only 4 hours and the salt level was PERFECT. I took it to a Christmas Party everybody really loved it.

For the New Years Eve party this Sunday, I am going to prepare the third ham the same way.

Just before Easter will probably be the next time Target will have a super deal on spiral cut ham. BTW, they once had an incredible deal on deli cut roast beef over a year ago. I was able to get RB for something like 40 cents per pound. Keeping my eyes out for the return of that deal.

How about you tell your Puppetmaster who LIED to everyone that he suddenly found religion and was going to Divinity School to QUIT posting here again supposedly on the down low. I'm still not forgetting that he not only smeared my wife in a racist cursing drunken rant but thought that apologizing (and don't try now since it's waaaaay too late) at any time in almost four years since then was beneath him. And don't whine about me bringing this up again since YOU were the one who fell for his dopey plan (via LYING about finding religion) to somehow normalize himself again.
