Overeating ANYTHING can cause obesity. It’s all about calories and using them. Burn more calories than you take in; you can lose weight. Conversely, taking in more calories than you burn up, you can gain weight. Balance seems to be key.
My middle child recently went vegan.
It didn’t surprise me; he’s been an avid animal lover his entire life. Kid was like an animal whisperer. If there was a stray dog or cat in the neighborhood, they would instinctively come to my child.
He was originally planning to become a veterinarian; however, after watching several of our pets be euthanized (they all lived to an advanced age), he went double-majored in microbiology and ASL, instead.
He started a blog about his move to veganism, encouraging people to consider incorporating more fruits and vegetables into their diet. He understands that people enjoy beef, chicken, fish, bacon, etc. but hopes that people will look at alternatives (not the fake stuff) to minimize the number of animals dying.
The amount of truly vile responses he receives are shocking. Death threats, rape threats, you name it.
I warned him that he was going to get blowback because of WEF pushing bugs and threatening the food chain. He think the WEF and NWO are sinister.
He’s also into organic because of the amount of artificial crap in our food.
Interestingly, he is not into bug harvesting, but I could understand why you would think that. Most vegan writers come across as shrews or woke harpies, like the silly creative who penned this man-hating dreck.

It’s the very core nature of tyrants, dictators, leftists, communists, liberals, marxists, et al. They always know how you should live your life and, if given half a chance, they will find ways to demand it, dictate it and legislate it.
Most people underestimate the danger these freaks pose to freedom.
