A brawl broke out at a family-favorite restaurant in Massachusetts the night before Thanksgiving after lines to get into the building spread all the way down the street.
Kowloon, a popular restaurant in Saugus, Massachusetts, attracts families looking to dine out, with many attending as an annual tradition on Thanksgiving Eve.
This year - a dramatic fight broke out on Wednesday night as unruly guests began scrapping, with a number of patrons throwing punches in the middle of the restaurant.
Saugus Police Chief Michael Ricciardelli slammed the disorder, labelling the fight 'unacceptable and disgusting'.
He said in a statement: 'The Kowloon is a family-friendly restaurant, unfortunately a few unruly patrons ruined a nice evening for many others.
'A disturbance such as this on Thanksgiving Eve is unacceptable and disgusting.'
Six Saugus police officers were already monitoring the crowds at the restaurant because large groups of people are expected to show up on the Wednesday night before thanksgiving - as many families have made it part of their holiday ritual.
State troopers joined the local cops on the scene shortly after the fight had been contained by the police department.
The additional forces decided to stick around the scene to help disperse the crowds of people after the restaurant's management shut the spot down early because of the brawl.
Police said that no arrests were made in relation to the violent incident - but that the investigation is ongoing.

I used to go to a big nightclub in Saugus. Fun times.
And no BooBoio…it’s not “them” this time.
At one time Kowloon’s was the biggest Chinese restaurant in the country. Route 1 in Saugus was a great place to go eat. Hilltop Steak House, and another Chinese restaurant owned by relatives of the Kowloon’s people whose name escapes me. A bit north the Golden Banana and another “gentlemen’s club” whose name also escapes me.
Is it them people again?
I’ve been there!
The food is nothing special. Nothing to go out of your way for.
Not this time, thankfully (no pun intended).

What the What? I don’t care if the food is excellent and even free. I’m not waiting 2 hours or more to eat.
I can see why a fight would break out.
With a name like Kowloon, the cuisine is probably Cantonese.
Probably the alcohol not the line that was the root cause:

“NBC10 Boston spoke with Saugus Select Board Chair Debra Panetta about the incident and she said elected leaders will receive a separate, detailed report from police. They will then decide if any action should be taken against the establishment’s liquor license.”
My late father in law would buy steaks at Hill top!
What does Howie Carr have to say on the subject?
