You survived! I dread those long plane flights in confined spaces. Congratulations
Not done yet. I’m in Bali at a friend’s house. I fly out tonight at 8:30PM on an airline called Citilink. I’ll finally arrive home tomorrow at 0615.
It was worse this time than I remember it being from before. Delta's crews and all their personnel were great. But the planes were so very uncomfortable, there were not enough bathrooms, and the food was horrible. Delta may have been retooling its business models. I will be investigating other airlines. I am not saying I will withhold my business, but Delta will not be as high on my list of desirables as it has in recent years.
That is quite the trek! Happy flying and drop a note when you’re home safe and sound!

You are 78 and you are always up to something! You’re like the Energizer Bunny. Always cooking, always doing some project, visiting, traveling, helping, more cooking, making gifts, etc.
I was impressed with all that you did before, and now that I know you’re just 2 years shy of 80....well, that is just awesome! You do need to put a few of those pounds back on though. If only I could donate some.

Thanks Judy very nice thoughts and sentiments. I followed with interest the saga of the wandering dog your son-in-law‘s dog. I had a dog like that named Toby. Toby did two things 1) he escaped any enclosure he was put in - climbed up any fence and then we 2) would call him Houdini - as then once he escaped the enclosure he became Lewis and Clark because he would disappear and be gone for days . he was the death of me with worry. he was such a lovable sweet dog but he sure did like to get out and do his thing.
Regarding the weight loss. I have been very cognizant of following the doctors order of listening to my body. He said most people just are routinely eating something when ever they feel the urge not when they’re hungry - same thing with a night snacking. he advised me not to eat unless I’m hungry and if I feel a little bit of urge to eat instead to drink some water and see if the hunger remains. he did not recommend no food after four that’s what I’m doing on my own I told him n he said that was excellent.I’ve had to take breaks for eating because I’m trying to protect the surgery and not have them have to go in again Hetold me it was the most extensive surgery he has ever done. 2 docs; 7 hrs; robotic.
Weight loss—I’m not doing enough physically that I have to worry about not having enough calories or fat to sustain myself. I know it’ll be easy enough to put it back on when I get into the ice cream and the cheese and mashed potatoes and pasta.
Wouldn’t it be great to go every week and end up about 5 pounds underweight, and then have 2 or 3 days (especially during Trump rally season) to put it back on?!
You are being very wise, listening to your body. I listen to mine as well, but it’s usually telling me that there’s some Miss Vickie’s chips or Hagen Daaz ice-cream that needs to be consumed.
I did have leftover Shepherd’s pie today...covered in mashed potatoes with melted cheese. That was at about 11. I have brunch rather than breakfast and lunch. Now I have some sausage in the oven.....Italian sausage with cheese and jalapeno peppers. I’ll have two of those with nothing else and call it a night. Unless my body speaks to me again.
She is a sweet dog....a little on the stupid side, but sweet. I was surprised at how bothered I was that she was out there, all night, cold and dark, coyotes and foxes and barbed wire.....and hunger. I think I was more upset than the kids lol! When Matt called me to say that he had her, I cried. Something must be happening to me in my old age. I like animals, but I’m not a bona fide animal LOVER like my son.....the one who paid $4,000.00- to have his dog stay overnight at the vet’s.
I’m of the old-fashioned thinking. I don’t consider animals the same as family members like most do these days. I consider them family pets. They should be cared for and loved, but they are not people. I’m a bit stubborn on that lol. Rest assured, however, any pet I had was well cared for - we are supposed to take care of all the animals in our charge.
My DIL didn’t agree with me when I said that - so then I simply asked her if she would be more devastated to have her daughter killed on the road than her dog. Point made.
Here is a part of history I wager none of us knew about. I sure didn’t. Brave women.
Judy, I am so happy the dog was found. I can just imagine how your SIL felt with him missing.
Exit, in watching the Tucker video I can’t believe how I was so fooled into thinking Pompeo was a good guy.

I was fooled by Pompeo as well. I guess they slap that Christian label on themselves, throw a few scripture verses up on social media, and voila! An honest and trustworthy Christian! A la Mike Pence!
