He was young, well everybody is these days. But he seemed quite knowledgeable, and knew what he was looking at when he saw my glance. That’s what’s important! That he can judge Improvement. He has an IPL machine which is what helps me, since I have ocular rosacea. So I’m very grateful not to have to drive 5 hours! I’ll have two or three more sessions and see if I have improvement.
The problem these days is that insurance won’t cover most of dry eye treatments. And they are expensive! And pretty much experimental at this point. The doctors can’t say what will help anybody, they just throw different things at us and see what works. And that is costly, for us!
There are a couple of eye drops on the market that help you produce the aqueous tears. Then there’s the various machines that help with myobium gland dysfunction. That’s the part of the tear that has the oil in it. Without the oil the aqueous tears evaporate too quick. So first the doctor has to figure out what kind you have.
I might switch to a different kind of eye drop, the kind that helps the aqueous gland. It has a better name than that but I can’t remember at the moment. If I do switch I’ll have some boxes of the other kind and I can send them to you.
pretty neat! What kind of background does he have to get that job? Kind of sounds good that he’s decided to quit playing and start working. LOL On the other hand, he has some great stories to tell I’m sure.

We’re going to have a cold couple days, high barely 40 and lows in the twenties. I just fed the kittens a bunch of Turkey and they have all disappeared. That means they are in the heated house! Finally! I was starting to think they weren’t the brightest kittens. But that couldn’t be!
I use my hands, arms, and a bowl and fork.

Flour, baking powder, salt, butter, milk. However, I always use an egg because it keeps them from falling apart. I also add some Herb de Provence because I love that stuff.
Drop ‘em in, let ‘em simmer, and yum.

Great idea! I love it too, but I only have one recipe that uses it. But I have three or four jars. LOL. Time to think outside the box like Judy.

Maybe that is what I have also. A few years back I started getting the severe burning eyes and what they called the Lupus Mask or Rosacea Mask across my cheeks and nose. My doctor recently had me get a blood test for Lupus which was negative. So maybe it is the Rosacea. All I know is my eyes hurt awful and my eye doctor doesn’t know what to do about it.
If I recall my nephew got an engineering degree. He worked for Amazon in Seattle for years in some high up position. After some time living in a high rise next to Amazon it got so expensive he bought the sail boat and lived on it still working for Amazon. Once he started to actually sailing it got to where he couldn’t connect to Wifi and had to give his notice.
I am glad you enjoyed my paintings. The one with the cable car is a faux San Francisco scene. I keep thinking I would like to get out my oils and try again, but I think after all this time they are probably all dried up. Plus I still have the carpel tunnel. I need to get surgery done on it but I keep putting it off.

Yep I have that too. Today the doctor said that the facial rosacea can spread to the eyes. So he did the IPL treatment on my face also. Interesting thing, IPL was first created for the skin. Dermatologists did them. It reduces the inflammation and closes off those red blood vessels. Then somebody noticed that people with dry eyes felt better after their facial treatment. So the doctor I go to in Nashville created a machine that had all the right settings for the eyes.
I can look up if anybody near you does them. But it’s not cheap.
I noticed my rosacea is worse now, winter weather and dryness. So I need to remember to turn on my humidifier. That’s something you could try, you could get a little tabletop humidifier and aim it where you normally sit. That might make you more comfortable.

It feels like we’re watching the complete annihilation of the Rino Republican Party in real time. Financial woes, Trump Derangement Syndrome, pathetic swampsters pretending to challenge President Trump, while they’re just hoping he’ll be tossed out of the race.....what a bunch of crooked losers.

I apologize to you for not expressing myself in a clear fashion - sometimes it just doesn’t come out right in print. I am sorry if it came across as being offensive in any way. I truly didn’t mean it to - I would never do that to you.
I hope you are having a bit of a reprieve from your physical pain. You sure don’t need that as well as losing a friend. God bless you.
