Moderna said it is targeting regulatory approval for the shot in 2025.
Moderna on Tuesday announced that its combination shot for flu and COVID-19 is the first candidate to make it to late-stage trial.
The first participant has been dosed in the trial, which is expected to enroll about 8,000 people in the Northern Hemisphere, the company said on Tuesday. About half of participants will be ages 65 and older, while the other half will be ages 50 to 64.
The shot “has the potential to efficiently reduce the overall burden of acute viral respiratory diseases” by protecting against both COVID-19 and flu through a single injection, Moderna said in a press release. It “offers greater convenience and has the potential to lead to increased compliance with vaccine recommendations,” it added.
The shots won’t be available for this respiratory virus season, as Moderna said it is targeting regulatory approval for the shot in 2025.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has predicted that this virus season will see a “moderate” wave of COVID-19 and a “typical” range of severity for flu.
Moderna earlier this month announced positive data from its earlier studies of the combo shot, finding that it produced an immune response similar to or greater than licensed flu shots and Moderna’s bivalent COVID-19 shot.
“Combination vaccines offer an important opportunity to improve consumer and provider experience, increase compliance with public health recommendations, and deliver value for healthcare systems,” Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel said in a statement at the time. “We are excited to move combination respiratory vaccines into Phase 3 development and look forward to partnering with public health officials to address the significant seasonal threat posed to people by these viruses.”
I don’t know about this shot but my brother in law took the combo Covid/ RSV shot on Sept 28 and on Oct 2 he was in a West Palm hospital with Guillan Barre. Today he is on a respirator which the docs are hoping to ween him off. If they are successful it will be at least 8 months of phys ther.
not a lawyer, but i’ve researched this enough to believe that they can be sued if you come at it from the fraud angle. since their trials and claims are lies, that’s the way i’d do it.
Did the shot recipient survive?
To get the flu deaths up, all they have to do is outlaw prophylactics and symptom treatments for the flu. Send people with the flu into nursing homes. Implement hospital policy to send people home until they have a fever and then when they return, admit them to the hospital for days without food/nourishment. Shut down hospital visitors to patients, including family and attorneys. Then either drown them on a ventilator for a $40,000 bonus or prescribe them the only approved treatment, an organ destroying new emergency authorized drug. Allow all reporting of deaths to be listed as caused by the flu, regardless of actual cause. Have Johns Hopkins create a web death tracking and reporting website that all the news agencies can broadcast. For a little extra totalitarianism, fire anyone from their job, expel them from school, dishonorable discharge from the military if they refuse to get an experimental emergency authorized flu vaccine created in a few months vs the usual years that has not been tested. That should do it.
For the first time in my adult life I took the flu shot during my physical around 15 yrs ago.
Soon after my legs started shaking/vibrating.
Thought I was freaking out thinking I had parkingsons or something.
Then I remembered the flu shot earlier.
Doctor said no way.
Yea right.....
Still feel the subtle effects to this day.
