Ha! If you think NFL officiating is bad try an NBA game. The NFL is a paragon of competence in comparison.

Is there some way to know that?
Yahoo has the percent bet on each game but not the amount.
88% on Team A vs. Team B might mean less than 60% on Team C vs. Team D.

It all started when Woody Hayes had to step aside.

The national fixed league (nfl) is for the gamblers. All the games are more or less fixed, the refs are only there to facilitate the outcomes.

Incompetent officiating is destroying the sport.

I knew the NFL was rigged ever since the Cards-Steelers Super Bowl when there were nearly a dozen infractions on the 99 yd INT return which were ignored and then right after the game the first words out of the Steelers’ Owner’s mouth were “Thank You Barack Obama”. That did it for me. Haven’t watched a game since. It is a shame Larry Fitz didn’t get his ring and they sure as heck didn’t want a christian like Warner to get another.

They lost their 1st one to the Steelers.

Early in the fourth quarter, tackle Sean Locklear was called for holding on a pass completion that would have put the Seahawks at the Pittsburgh 1, in position for the go-ahead touchdown. After the penalty, Matt Hasselbeck threw an interception, and then was called for a low block on a play that ended with him tackling Pittsburgh’s Ike Taylor on the defensive back’s return.

The penalty moved the Steelers from their 29 to the 44. Pittsburgh used its better field position to score the clinching touchdown four plays later.

The next day, then-Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren told fans at a civic gathering at Qwest Field: “I knew it was going to be tough going up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I didn’t know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts, as well.”

I was watching the Bears-Raiders game. Each team was the victim of a blown call by the refs. And those calls were obvious.

I think hockey is hard to “fix” and you don’t really have stories about horrible hockey officiating.

Hollywood's been doing that forever! Create an attractive couple...they don't even have to like one another.

Joey Heatherton and Lance Rentzel. He was married to one of the hottest chicks in the world at the time and couldn't resist exposing himself to eight-year old girls. WTF?

I agree with you that the refs threw the Indy game your way.
But they threw the Ravens game to Indy 4 weeks ago with horrible (no) calls at the end of that one.
Also - Pittsburgh got a gift against the Packers.
Looks like it was AFC North day to get help.
Ravens didn’t need any because the Lions didn’t have their A game.

If not diversity, then what is the problem?
Let me know and I’ll tell Roger when I’m making his breakfast tomorrow morning...

How is it more diverse? I saw black refs back in the 80s. If anything, I see less now. A few of them are the sons of ones from the 80s and 90s. I think this is a deliberate calculation by Goodell.

Wayyy too many targeting calls. If you’re a running back or receiver all you have to do is make sure your helmet contacts the tackler’s helmet and you’ve an even chance of fifteen yards, a first down and a potential opponent ejection.

Let the guys play!
