Rep. Jim Jordan met the 20 hold outs tonight and they told him bluntly they won't support him for Speaker
This is crazy. They'll never give us this victory.
Jordan wanted to know what they wanted and what the issue is.
Their opposition doesn't seem to be based on anything.
They're just being complete a**holes for the sake of it?!
Kind of like "Never Trumpers".
Anyway, another (third) Speaker vote is scheduled for tomorrow.
Jordan is not quitting which is good. McCarthy had 15 rounds of voting remember.
The plan to empower the Bush crony as Speaker also did not go down well.
I say keep things in limbo.
The precious Ukraine funding in particular will not happen without a Speaker and the clock is ticking on government funding (CR).

They are petty little egotists. Most career politicians are. My guess is the Dems promised them no challengers in next years election if they keep the chaos up. The Dems are lying of course, but RINOS are a particular kind of stupid.
