Police have identified a person of interest in the stabbing and subsequent killing of poet and far-left activist Ryan Carson.
Investigators have reported that the man seen stabbing Carson on video is likely an 18-year-old man who had smashed items in his girlfriend's apartment following a fight about two months ago.
The man's aunt called 911 at the time, and described him as mentally disturbed, according to sources.
Video of the harrowing incident showed a conflict between Carson and the suspect that ended in a brutal stabbing.
A woman who the New York Post reports is thought to be the stabber’s gal pal appeared to bellow at him to stop — and then took off after him after briefly speaking to the victim’s horrified girlfriend, according to the outer and the footage.
Carson was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center but ultimately could not be saved.
