Aaron Rodgers Takes Shot at Travis Kelce With ‘Mr. Pfizer’ Jab
New York Post ^

Aaron Rodgers is now the one doling out the shots. The injured Jets quarterback, in attendance at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night to watch the Jets host the Chiefs, poked fun at Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, the star of recent ads for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The star pass catcher and rumored boyfriend of Taylor Swift was held to just six receptions and 60 yards on the night as the Jets limited his effectiveness, in Rodgers’ eyes.

“Mr. Pfizer, we kinda shut him down a little bit,” Rodgers said Tuesday on the “Pat McAfee Show.” He didn’t have his crazy impact game, obviously, he didn’t have his yards and stuff.”

Taylor will be with him until she gets her newest song written.

If Rodgers played for Andy Reid, imagine how many Super Bowls he would have? He never had a coach that good. And he had a team that passively aggressively hated him.

I don’t think Reid would have tolerated Rodgers’ incessant whining. Now McCarthy is the dumbest coach in NFL history. But Rodgers didn’t make it any easier for him. And was a toxic presence for LeFluer. And as passive aggressive hate that all started with him. They coddled him. And screwed in the process. They never should have given him contract after drafting Love. He was getting on in years, drafting his replacement was the smart move, and if he wanted to get pissy about they should have gotten rid of him. Buying him off, and reacquiring aging players cause he liked them was dumb. And then all his darkness retreat crap. Especially since Favre pulled the same crap on him, so he knows how much that sucks for heir. Rodgers is a bad person, and washed up QB, and I actually laughed when he got hurt. Which made me feel guilty, but I got over it.

I think you need to look at the big picture. It's not that they drafted a QB, it's that they had not used a first round pick in over ten years on offense, then they traded up to get a QB. That is passive aggressive. If you were a QB, who was that great, wouldn't you be mad at that?

They had a once in a lifetime QB, and they had no regard for him. By the way he won the MVP in 2020 and 2021. Then they gave him an offense with practically high school players.

Consider this: In January 2021, Tom Brady's Bucs beat the Packers in the NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodger's passer RTG was 25 points higher than Brady's. So Rodgers was a lot better than Brady, but the rest of the Bucs than the rest of the Packers.

That was Green Bay's attitude: just shut up and win on your own.

He should look at the big picture. Regardless of bad drafting he was of an age that the right move for the team should be look for their future QB. He especially should know that since looking to their future was why they drafted him. He could have been a professional. But he chose to be a child. There was nothing passive aggressive about them drafting him. And nothing passive aggressive about drafting his replacement. The team is bigger than a player.

Yes yet another home playoff loss for Rodgers. He did that a lot.

Also keep in mind that that season was after they gave him the big “don’t be mad” raise. It’s a hard cap league. When you’re paying your aging a big pile of money you’ve got less to acquire talent.

Green Bay’s attitude should have been: fulfill your contract or go away. Petulance has always been a defining attitude for him. Look how often he would stop targeting receivers after a drop. Sure drops suck, but he ain’t gonna get better if you’re not throwing to him. Not to mention you made the opposing D’s job easier.

He was an amazing talent. But he still manages to have more ego than talent. And he’s always eager to let his ego impact performance. I’m glad he went to a crappy team. He deserves all the losing he’s going to do there

You are ignoring that they wouldn’t spend one first round pick on the offense.

Do you think Jordan Love will be that good? I hope he is, but it seems unlikely.

One is willing to consider that all you say about Aaron Rodgers might be true.

One’s reply would be that between Rodgers questioning whether Zhao really got 81M votes AND having the vaxxes figured out, he can’t be a TOTAL a*****e.

As a Lions fan, I hope he isn’t.

I’m not. They some bad choices. But that doesn’t mean planning for their future wasn’t the right move. Smart teams are ready to move on early.

As for Love mathematically he’s probably not going to be as good. Nobody gets 3 great QBs in a row. But he’s better than Rodgers right, and that would probably if Rodgers was healthy. He was looking pretty washed last year.

I think that Aaron Rodgers fans, on FR, would be disappointed to learn that Rodgers went to Taylor's concert twice this year...He even met her after one of the concerts...Rodgers never tried to hide the fact that he likes her songs...

Aaron Rodgers had ‘incredible’ Taylor Swift weekend at new MetLife Stadium home
