Is it uncomfortable kneeling on artificial turf? Or, does the cost of the turf cut into their donations to America hating organizations?

so stop playing if you don’t like the field turf.
you choose to still coach or play and collect your pay, you are part of the problem.

They should rip the Jets horrid left tackle, an overaged, over the hill blind side protector whose body is held together by glue.
Then they should rip the general manager, who’s done little to nothing to improve the offensive line the past three seasons.

I remember walking on artificial turf long ago at ESU. It felt like solid concrete with a thin layer of outdoor carpeting on top. That was it.
Hard to believe they ever allowed it, much less STILL allow it.

The NFL isn’t alone - artificial turf is being installed on high school fields.

Look at all the players that played on field turf this past weekend and before and didn’t get injured, but hey, ARod at 39, rolls the dice like everyone else and now there’s outrage and, I believe it will force the NFL to do away with artificial turfs, so why him? Why now? What about all the others that got hurt in this way? Didn’t they count?
Or is it about $$$, how many bets were lost yesterday when Aarod sat back down on that field.

I’ve heard in the past, that astro turf was supposedly easier to maintain, and also prevented a muddy sloppy field in case of rain or snow.
I don’t know if anyone is talking about thise issues nowadays.

Artificial turf has been shredding athletes since it was invented 50+ years ago. It should all be ripped up and replaced by real grass. They can find a sane way to make this work.

Nothing more dangerous than wet astroturf.

It’s not the turf... it’s a combination of Turf and SHOES!
The traction is just TOO good. If you’re not used to it, it’s hard to WALK on turf, with modern day shoes. They need to develop shoes that have a friction coefficient similar to what players see on grass.
Turf is here to stay... because of indoor stadiums and multi-purpose outdoor stadiums. The key to protecting players is: Proper SHOES.

Real Madrid's Retractable Grass Field (video). I think we'll start to see this in future NFL stadiums. The grass field is lowered in sections below the stadium. The Arizona Cardinals have a grass field that is pulled outside the stadium in the offseason, but that's obviously requires a lot of space and an appropriate climate.
