Well, it just kind of got slipped to the back burner with the wedding. We’ve all been so busy lately, and are STILL full from Saturday’s extravaganza, that cooking a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings just didn’t come to mind.

We had roast chicken last night, but my son and his wife (that’s the first time I’ve typed that lol!) weren’t able to join us because they were dismantling the huge tent and the decor and the tons of leftover food. They brought it by later on and filled the walk-in fridge with it. Everyone was pretty tired and ready to relax, so that’s what we did for the most part.

I think I’ll see if Natalie wants to spend a day doing those, as well as beef meat pies. They are great to have in the freezer and pull out when needed - add salad and you’re good to go! Great idea.

I was thinking of putting my electric throw blanket out there too. I have bigger electric blankets but that might be overkill?. They have this house, one half of it is heated, and I find the kitten sleeping in it at night. That might be the warmest option for them, since it has a roof and sides, and their body heat can help heat it up. I haven't got mama cat to sit on anything, she won't even try the heating pad. or any of the cat cushions. She does go on the top perch of the cat castle. Maybe she wants to oversee her domain

Don’t forget about their lovely fur coats, CB. Those work as well. Between a heated house, an electric blanket and fur coats.....it’s downright tropical. You may have to turn on the A/C.

good point. And they are fuzzy little babies. The three black and white are going to be medium-haired, at least. I think they will be really cute. Mom is medium-haired length, but her shiny black fur is so silky that it doesn’t really look it. But she does have a somewhat fluffy tail.

Yeah I forget that they come with their own sweaters.

Sister said they have Turkey Bread over there and it is so good, have you seen i?

Never heard of turkey bread....unless it’s the bread for stuffing that comes pre-seasoned. In that case I’ve heard of it but never used it.

We’ve got a ton of chickens and beef and veggies here, so we’d make them. It’s also a day of puttering and gabbing and using the food we’ve grown....and by we’ve, I mean them, not me lol.

I tell you what, I have been having weird dreams lately, so much going on.

I dreamt the other night that a put a casserole in the microwave and when I took it out, there was a dog in the microwave also, just a small one.

And it was a hound dog, lol, I do not have a hound dog.

Weird.

Maybe I should start drinking, haven’t had a drink in years.

Hubby made supper last night-nothing fancy (although he’s a better cook than I am!) but it was great “comfort food.”

Salisbury steak with mushrooms and beef gravy, giant
fluffy clouds of mashed taters, and mixed veggies for a side dish.

Dessert would have been (we were too full!) French Vanilla
ice cream with crumbled Kit Kat bars and and chocolate syrup!
