On Aug. 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. On Aug. 9, 1945, a second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. The bombings resulted in thousands of causalities in Japan.
The decision to drop the bombs on the cities is controversial, even today, due to how many lives were lost. Thousands of people died from the atomic bomb, but the action also ended World War II.
Here is everything you need to know about Hiroshima and the atomic bomb.

I believe that number was zero. I think I read that the third would’ve taken more than a month or so to be built and delivered.
Thanks.
“The Japanese government brought what happened to the Japanese people at Nagasaki and Hiroshima on themselves when they decided to cowardly sneak attack Pearl Harbor early on a Sunday morning.”
Effin’ A.
the article focused on civilian casualties not political regimes in an attempt to say the USA were the bad guys. hence my statement.
I got your cowboy hangin!! I dont give af about current whatever. the article tyied to paint us bad for killing civilians. so I commented accordingly. you wanna come in and be a billy bad ass, then i suggest you piss off...
The Japanese invaded China.
Everything else is moot.
Can they do it again?
With robots.
Same for my uncle.
So that was the cause of the noise I heard back then....

Groves expected to have another “Fat Man” atomic bomb ready for use on 19 August, with three more in September and a further three in October;[91] a second Little Boy bomb (using U-235) would not be available until December 1945.[235][236

The Japanese started the war and we ended it.
The war was well before my time; I can discuss it with the same distance I can discuss the Spanish-American War, and I have no problem acknowledging that we were guilty of war crimes here.
But see how many people here are as casual about this point as you and I are.
I remember the Rosenbergs every June 19th, the day they were fried! That is how I celebrate Juneteenth!
What war crimes are we guilty of ?
We targeted population centers as a matter of policy in conducting the war effort against Japan.
Of course the Russians were engaging in cannibalism themselves at that time.
And a couple of decades later so did the Chi-Coms.
People eaters of a feather flock together.
After that it would have been September before we had more but at that point we could have cranked them out at the rate of two a week.
I’ve always heard that these cities in Japan were military targets, that there were military factories and bases in these places.
You may know more than me about the laws of war. I am not well versed in issues such as the Geneva convention laws of war, which countries are supposed to adhere to in military conflicts.
due to how many lives were lost. Thousands of people died from the atomic bomb
But how many millions were saved, on both sides of the war?
