If you ever get a chance buy some DOP San Marzano tomatoes. DOP is the Italian designation for it being the authentic San marzano, grown in the Campania area of Italy near naples. Something to do with the Mount Vesuvius Ash changes the tomato. It has a unique flavor that I’ve always associated with Italian pizza. All the rest of the stuff doesn’t make that much difference, IMO.
I love that little play Pizza oven. You know they are becoming mainstream when they put them on kids toys.
So this will be interesting, I would love to know what your dream list is!

Those are some of the tomatoes we (and by we I mean someone else, not me) plant every year in the big garden. They’re the best for sauce is what I’m assured of, but all homemade sauce is good to me!
That makes sense, Spunky. I hadn’t thought of that. It just looked so strange to see charred boats surrounded by water. Such a terrible, terrible disaster.

Are the solar spotlights bright enough? We have several little solar lamps around the property but they are very faint. Of course they were from the dollar store.
I’ve been growing them as well. I love growing them because they are indeterminate so stay short. I’ve had some problems with Blossom and rot so just added some potassium, they are so sweet that they tend to suffer from that.
And they are nonhybrid so I’m going to harvest the seeds. That’s my favorite part of growing stuff.
I’ve even added tons of ash from our wood stove and they don’t taste anything like the dop ones however.
If you’re ever in the grocery store and see one, grab a can. Make a very simple sauce, not too much onion or garlic or it will overpower the unique flavor. I usually only put in a little bit of fresh basil also.
