That makes sense, Spunky. I hadn’t thought of that. It just looked so strange to see charred boats surrounded by water. Such a terrible, terrible disaster.

A bit of history where I live: It was known as the worlds largest trailor camp.

The Manhattan Project worker trailer camp on the Hanford Site north of Richland, WA in 1944.

My husband and I had a friend living in one of these. He was a soldier and she was Japanese. I remember she had that little trailor fixed up so cute.
