I read the caption and initially (and dutifully) saw all the plates as upside down. I looked for the one that was supposedly right side up and couldn’t find it. I kept looking and decided to focus on one bowl on the left until I could finally see it as right side up. When I looked back at the other plates, they were indeed all right side up. I can no longer see any of them as upside down. This is a very good exercise in objectivity and confirmation bias that started with us being told they were all upside down. Our minds are amazing and complex.
I don’t get the one about the plates. None of them look upside down to me. What am I missing?
