I read the caption and initially (and dutifully) saw all the plates as upside down. I looked for the one that was supposedly right side up and couldn’t find it. I kept looking and decided to focus on one bowl on the left until I could finally see it as right side up. When I looked back at the other plates, they were indeed all right side up. I can no longer see any of them as upside down. This is a very good exercise in objectivity and confirmation bias that started with us being told they were all upside down. Our minds are amazing and complex.
Oh, so that’s it? You’re supposed to see them as upside down because the caption says they are? I guess I’ve gotten so far beyond believing what anyone tells me anymore. LOL
