WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Sheetz convenience store is celebrating the Fourth of July holiday by dropping gas prices.
Today, the price of gas has dropped to $1.776 per gallon for regular, mid-grade, E85 (flex fuel), Unleaded 88, and premium fuel gas.
The special Independence Day offer is set to last all day, according to the company, or until supplies runs out.

Filled up in Mechanicsburg, PA this afternoon. Third in line. Everyone was courteous and patient. Used my Sheetz “pump first” card and only paid $1.74.6. Sheetz gives free coffeez on holidays, too. This is a first for discount gas, AFAIK.
I think it’s great, just wish I could get some of the good too. Is that a crime in your mind? 🙂

Lines were 3-4 cars deep, but one Sheetz I went to was 20 deep - didn’t stay there!
Was #4 car first time, guy in SUV in front of me. As soon as he pulled up, he opened his rear door - TEN gas cans! 2 cars went through lane to my left while I waited for him.
All 3 of my cars are old Porsches, but all use Premium - I got Premium for $1.776/gal so I am not complaining.
Surprised their stations did not run out of gas.....
I filled the truck and two cans, put the cans in the PT Loser, too much tv again and filled the cans Loser all the way.
Wish I’d had mores cans.
Briefly considered empty gallon water bottles but didn’t do it.
What a difference between 4 am and 5 pm.

I simply responded to your reply. If Sheetz isn’t in California, neither comment has anything to do with what Sheetz is charging and where. BTW, gas is mostly in the mid $4 per gallon range in LA, nowhere close to 17.76.
