A woman with 800 tattoos says she’s struggling to find gainful employment because bosses cast judgment on her inked-up appearance.

Melissa Sloan, 46, who hails from Wales in the United Kingdom, previously had a job cleaning toilets but says she hasn’t been able to find a similar gig because of the art that adorns her face and body.

“I can’t get a job,” Sloan bluntly told the Daily Star. “I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live, and they won’t have me because of my tattoos. “People have said I have never had a job in my life, but I have had one once and it didn’t last long,” the mother-of-two added. “If someone offered me a job tomorrow, I would go and work – I would take that offer.”

She should try for a phone-based “customer service” job and work from home. Lots of people in Britain could teach her to sound like she’s from Mombai or Bangladesh. Failing that, she could work for the government.

I never had much of an issue with a small tattoo, a butterfly on the ankle, or whatever.

But what we see now is insane. I think the beauty of a woman is one of the finest of God's creations, and I view in a dim light things that alter that beauty deliberately. This woman below is an egregious example of that:

She was a nice looking girl. Had a lot going for her from a physical perspective. And she deliberately destroyed it. People are free to do what they wish with their bodies and appearance.

I will not be convinced that I am wrong in making judgements about someone who does this to themselves. I can deal with them as a human being, and treat them with the outward respect I would render to anyone who is a stranger to me.

But I will not apologize for being judgmental. Not in this.

I agree with you, totally. The things women do to themselves, like get tattoos, to make themselves more beautiful backfire miserably. I’ll even go so far as to include plastic surgery in that sentiment. I’ve seen so many actors and actresses butcher themselves it’s a crime. Meg Ryan, Catherine Bell, Priscilla Presley, Mickey Rourke, etc. I usually refer to that phenomena as being “Jokered.”

I would say her lack of employment is due to something besides her self inflicted affliction.
