The real story of America is one in which tyranny is repudiated and unjust governments are unwelcome.
In writer George R.R. Martin's sprawling fantasy novels that were developed into HBO's successful series Game of Thrones, the people from one of the warring kingdoms commonly remind outsiders, "The North remembers."

As such, when I watch the despots from Davos and D.C. busily engaged in transforming the world into some kind of technocratic dystopia where a few international "elite" monitor and manipulate everyone else, I cannot help but feel that they have sorely underestimated our memories.
There are some souls who will simply never submit to tyranny. There are rebellious spirits who would rather spit up blood than obey. People with these qualities do not belong to any one genetic line. They cannot be ruthlessly stamped out and forgotten. They sprout up in unexpected places and from unusual family trees. Throughout history, whenever authoritarians believed they could use coercion, imprisonment, and murder to rid themselves of dissent, new generations of rebels continued to spring to life. And every time those new rebels rose, they remembered both the suffering and the courage of the past.
It is why I am filled with both dread and hope today — because no matter the difficulties that lie ahead, there will always be those who remember.
Conversely, we could boil down all of the various Machiavellian plans being unfurled today by Western governments seeking our surrender into a single order: forget. Forget your history and your ancestors' sacrifices. Forget your religious convictions. Forget your natural rights and freedoms. Forget the importance of personal liberty, property, and privacy. Forget the sanctified bonds of marriage. Forget the unbreakable bonds of families. Forget the sacred duties of parents.

The despots never remember that the pendulum eventually swings the other way.
Oh, they remember.
Deep States’ frontmen are idiots.
The people hiding behind them are not.

Repeat as needed so that you, too, become one of those souls.
I really think this is wrong.
Today, there ARE people who remember being kids, playing outside until dark, one parent working, one parent at home. Penny candy. People fixing stuff and having basic skills.
But those memories are dying.
The kids who grew up with social media, inside all day, afraid of terrorists, afraid of sex predators, afraid of COVID, afraid of carbon, two stressed parents who hate their jobs but need to constantly consume the new trends. All products disposable — if it stops working, buy another.
Those kids are going to dominate society real soon. They will have no memory of any other time. They will increasingly look to government to Build Back Better in stronger and more comprehensive ways. Maybe constant surveillance will help. Perhaps Digital Currency is the fix we need. How about Social Credit?
Where have all the flowers gone? I don’t remember any flowers.
Obliterating the past is what the Maoist Cultural Revolutionists are all about. Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ is the U.S. version. Obviously, it’s nothing but destruction, deceit, and deception to gain control over the masses.
THEY will control the on/off switch to nearly everything. Maybe even the locks on your doors?
Most will be okay with this.
And someone who disobeys will suffer the consequences. No access to food or electric ..or,money.
At the same time their friends will shun them.
They do not want to locked out.
Meanwhile, in China, Chairman Xi is obliterating the present.
Implementing Maoismis far worse than the failed attempts to implement the globalism boogie man
Thanks for the post. That is probably the best post I have read on FR.
Machiavellian. The definition points to an element to where the end justifies the means. These leftists feel they are really doing the right thing.
Was Augusto Pinochet Machiavellian?
History will tell those surviving if Xi and the American left were successful. Xi and Biden are both intent on the replacement of what is good with something they have determined meets their party definition of better
Xi got Jack Ma. Biden is struggling to get Trump
The verdict is at present undetermined.
Yes. The older generation and baby boomers are dying and being replaced with a couple spoiled, brainwashed generation of kids/young adults that have no real idea what made this country great. I think they are being taught that this nation is bad and needs to be redone...reimagined. Because of this, I am glad I am old.
“So, no more run’in, I aim to misbehave”

The lies about a war?
There are lies about so much more.
There is a lie behind every door.
Each more shocking than that which came before.
You’re right, and those are the ones that were fortunate enough to have been born here. Toss in the millions who have invaded this country without any prior knowledge of what this society was, or is supposed to be, and have never been given any incentive to care. As the saying goes, Import 3rd World, Become 3rd World.
I’ve said for a long time, the Left “wins” mostly by attrition.
A prayer said that there will always be a majority that never forgets the sacrifices made before US and a God that cares for US
