A friend told me that in her neighborhood last year some kids were using a metal detector in the yards. They found a hand grenade! The police were called in and the bomb squad had to come and detonate it. Left over from 1940s.
I don’t know if these were Japanese ordnance or US ordnance, or, I guess Aussie. All were here.
