Ford will begin another round of layoffs this week impacting jobs in the U.S. and Canada, the automaker confirmed to FOX Business on Tuesday.
While the company did not disclose how many employees would lose their jobs, Ford spokesperson T.R. Reid said the actions are related to the manufacturer’s growth plan introduced in 2021, which Ford has been increasingly implementing over the past year.

Sending them to Mehico?
Si
Let’s go Brandon!
I don’t know if this is the case re: this job reduction, but manufacturing in general is about to experience a huge reduction in the reliance on human labor because of AI.
“...T.R. Reid said the actions are related to the manufacturer’s growth plan introduced in 2021..”
Eg, Ford stiffing American workers with electric vehicles at the government’s request.
I heard Ford was having problems due to dedicating billions of dollars to convert to building electric cars.
Probably because no one wants to buy the electric crap...
Ford stiffed a whole bunch of loyal Ford customers on the 6.0l Power Stroke Diesel. Head and gasket issues caused premature engine failure. Owners called them “6 Leakers.” I didn’t have one myself, but it seems it was on the order of a $10,000 repair. Many owners had custom diesel shops do the repair with better parts. Good engines after that. Market priced whether you had this in the resale value.
Then, the years of having pickups you could just rip the plastic door handle assembly out by hand and open the door.
They are getting killed by the losses in the EV division. The car makers are counting on ICE vehicles being taxed/regulated off the roads. All are well into transitioning to EV’s.
Clearly Trump’s fault.
I was reading yesterday that the envirowackos and the Injuns up in Nevada are raising hell and protesting against lithium mines. Now that they have people buying their electric cars, they’re going to start working on banning them. LOL! Way to go America! Let the idiots run the country and this is what you get.
For quite some time now I’ve been hearing the F-150 pickups have electrical issues.
How does one go from being the innovator of the automobile to not being able to seal two pieces of flat metal together?
A vehicle that only goes 250 miles then you have to wait hours to recharge it AND it may or may not burst into flames in your garage in the middle of the night? Not to mention you WILL be replacing the battery at some point at a cost of thousands......where do I sign up for that? 😏
Go woke and go broke.
Ford has been laying one stinking rotten egg after another, almost all of them brought about by their lunatic fetish to find a workable EV, which they will never manage to do.
“I heard Ford was having problems due to dedicating billions of dollars to convert to building electric cars.”
$10 billion in profits. Some problem!
The real cause is it turns out their play to make electric cars cost FAR more than they projected.
