A chef with a vegan menu isn’t a chef - they’re a salad maker.
Silly, girl.
She thought just saying she was “vegan” meant Fyre was expected to cater to every whim.
But what she forgot is that “vegan activism” is no longer in vogue.
She should have said she was an aboriginal, transgender, man AND a vegan.
And, of course, brought the media along to dine with ‘him’.
“My only option was the vegetable dish….”
Well duhhh!
All my meat is plant based. I don’t eat Lion.
“You’re a vegan, YOU HAVE NO PALATE!”—Gordon Ramsey
Vegan diets are the least healthy diet invented. They have been shown to live 10 years less than meat eaters.
The kiss kiss is nice at the end but he forgot the bang bang for us old James Bond fans. :)
As a chef, I don’t mind catering to vegans as long as they understand they are the exception not the rule.
The topic of the article is presented in a choppy, somewhat disjointed manner.
It reads as though the restaurant owner is very prickly and overreaching to one customer’s criticism.
Perhaps the customer was being unrealistic, but that was her review, fair or not.
This cook seems to have been waiting for the moment when he could sound off against Vegans as one annoying group he has now decided to discard.
Simple solution.
Don’t offer any vegan options.
Neil deGrasse Tyson of all people came up with this one.. I was actually kind of shocked at his clarity.
I’ll paraphrase
...Think about milk and honey, the land of milk and honey is a Biblical place where everything is perfect. Milk and honey are about the only two things that we can eat that has not been produced from killing the producer or the offspring. Even the vegan kills to eat as they are essentially eating the reproductive organs and offspring of those very plants. I wonder if that’s why they used milk and honey in a biblical sense because it denotes that nothing was harmed and that all was at peace... (paraphrased)
I probably blew the paraphrase but I found it interesting coming out of the mouth of an atheist, or whom I thought was an atheist.
The land of milk and honey, the place where all is at peace and nothing is killed and there is no violence against any thing of God’s creation.
And that came out of deGrasse Tyson’s mouth? Wild huh?
‘I think it’s incredibly important nowadays that restaurants can accommodate everyone and to not be able to have actual plant-based meals shows your shortcomings as a chef.”
Go screw yourself, lady. And get out of my restaurant.

Huge red flag. They should have known this was going to be a setup from the beginning. I can only imagine what this bitch looked like.
How can you tell a vegan?
You don’t, they tell you.
No vegans allowed.
All the vegetables are cooked with the butter or cream or bacon grease that make them delicious.
We will serve you a Vitamin B12 tablet with distilled water for only $23
Seems like al over the world we have entered the era of the spoiled child syndrome.
I went to,a vegan resteraunt and they didn’t serve meat! IM A VICTIM OF BIAS!
'It was my only shortfall… I said I would accommodate her, I said we had gnocchi, vegetables… and that was that.'
It seems patently obvious that if one desires vegan dishes, go to a vegan restaurant.
Meanwhile, the diners at the oither restaurants will greatly appreciate the absence of vegans.
As another writer observed, “ I went onto a carpet store the other day and was greatly dismayed at the limited selection of telescopes they had for sale”
