Interstate highways in Georgia are the worst I have ever seen about dealing with abandoned vehicles and debris in the shoulder, and Georgia drivers come to expect them. All drivers should be aware of the possibility of a disabled or emergency vehicle in the left lane. Visibility was excellent, the road straight and flat. She had NO excuse.

I know someone something like that happened to. He was getting his car towed when some young, ditzy kid was on her phone and didn’t see them down the road and slammed full tilt into his car on the tow truck bed. He, the cop, and the tow truck driver saw the whole thing.
And yup, she was on her phone.
Never found out what happened to her, but she was definitely hurt.

Bruton claimed she had been blamed for the collision but said the truck was stopped in the fast lane of the highway with no indicators illuminated.

...slams tow truck driver for parking in the middle of the road...Damn straight. The tow truck driver was parked in a traffic lane with no emergency lights flashing.
He was 100% at fault.

Tanaijsha Bruton soared 120 feet in the air - struck another vehicle and tumbled end over end before coming to rest upside down during the May 24 Georgia highway wreck.
