Modelo is to Bud Light like Makers is to Skol plastic bottle brown water whiskey

It’s a decent pilsner

Brewed in Mexico started by Germans or Austrians

If it’s all you got you could do worse

The demographic shift is responsible for this too

I do notice the 24 pack is larger than the average Yaqui carrying it

Ok wardaddy what is your favorite Pilsner?

Urquell hands down Czech

Krombacher German

Stella Belgian Pilsner excellent beer but AB owned sadly

I only drink lager and Pilsner

And room temp bitters in England

Best American big brew Hamms yes I think so

I’m not a drinker but I love the grain mouth and nose burst

Modelo is not owned by AB InBev in the United States. AB InBev had to divest Modelo because of antitrust issues.

Justice Department Reaches Settlement with Anheuser-Busch InBev and Grupo Modelo in Beer Case

Divestitures of Piedras Negras Brewery, Perpetual Licenses to Modelo Beer Brands, and Other Assets Will Maintain Competition in the Beer Industry Nationwide

Friday, April 19, 2013

WASHINGTON – The Department of Justice announced today that it has reached a settlement with Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (ABI) and Grupo Modelo S.A.B. de C.V. that requires the companies to divest Modelo’s entire U.S. business – including licenses of Modelo brand beers, its most advanced brewery, Piedras Negras, its interest in Crown Imports LLC and other assets – to Constellation Brands Inc., in order to go forward with their merger. The department said the proposed settlement will maintain competition in the beer industry nationwide, benefitting consumers.

Exactly.

Buy craft beers. Get a better product while sticking it to the multinational corporations who constantly bully the small businesses.

“Blue Moon Belgian White is a Belgian-style witbier brewed by Molson Coors under the name the Blue Moon Brewing Co.” from Wikipedia

I dropped Sam Adams when they began sponsoring homo “pride” parades.

Try Yuengling.

Budweiser has been running a new ad that has almost all black characters in it. They are desperately searching for new people to drink their piss.

Does someone have that list of beers produced by BUD?

It would be a good refresher for me so I do not make a mistake and accidentally buy one of the BUD brands.

Not as far as I know. This is only for the U.S. market. AB InBev still owns Modelo in the rest of the world.

This is only the first milestone. I'm enjoying rereading Forbes' little gloatfest "Bud Light Signals New Era In Marketing" dating from 2 February.

“As the first woman to lead the biggest beer brand in the world, it’s an amazing opportunity to really evolve and elevate Bud Light, this brand I love,” says Heinerscheid... “As the number one beer in the industry, it’s incumbent upon us to act like a leader and set the standard,” she says. “We’re excited to see what 2023 brings.”

Well...it has been exciting...
