Bagster – Update

On Wednesday I attended the palliative care meeting. Bagster elected to continue dialysis as he’s much more comfortable when receiving it. He was groggy in the meeting but only hesitated briefly when I zinged him with a comment about his ‘substantial eyebrows’ before growling, “HEY!”  I stepped out of the call early as the remainder of the meeting was the process of him and his son completing the paperwork to transfer all medical decision making to the young man.

Bagster called me yesterday. He was very groggy and talking was arduous for him so he kept the call short.

I’ve received many kind messages and prayers – thank you. I really have not been doing a lot and wish I could do more.

I’m grateful that his longstanding friendship with his ‘ping on the side’ (Blu) has earned him her tireless support, and that Humblegunner, whom bagster refers to as his true friend, has been attentive in calling him, and making him laugh.

I believe our prayers are helping him and will continue in prayer.
