@RepThomasMassie
(1/3) I got back from DC and checked on a few of my farm experiments this am.
Here’s an automated chicken tractor I invented to pasture raise and protect meat chickens while I am away. They look more crowded than they are because they’re bunched up on the sunny side.

Too funny. We always say that government workers are, by definition, non-productive when it comes to the economy. Well, here’s one exception!
good entertainment
Does anyone else think there is something odd about the photo showing a supposedly free range hen laying a white egg rather than a brown egg?
Yet another actor. Guess who voted for h1-b Indians.

Free ranging hens has nothing to do with egg color. Egg color is determined by breed.
What fun! Have built my share of Chicken tractors and coops but never an automated one!
The photo is not odd, but rather proof of White Supremacy that exists throughout the animal kingdom
The color of the egg shell is pretty much determined by the breed, not just what they are eating
Rhode Island Reds will lay brown eggs, and are generally found in New England, and are regionally preferred .
Leghorn breeds will lay only white shelled eggs.
There are other breeds which will lay only blue eggs, which generally are smaller size, again, according to the breed.
“Does anyone else think there is something odd about the photo showing a supposedly free range hen laying a white egg rather than a brown egg?”
Nope. My hens are free-range and lay white eggs. Only occasionally have I ever gotten a brown egg from them.
I was thinking about building a chicken tractor so they could do stuff when I am at work.
I am concerned they might drive it through my fence or something. They’re pretty dumb.
So, it’s a weed eater and fertilizer spreader combo!................
No..............
The Ameraucana chicken breed lays blue eggs.................
Sounds like Jefferson.
No other Easter decorations than dyeing them?
The hen decorated them herself................
Genius! I want one! (Is that Electric fence around the bottom? That would teach the foxes that got my last chickens,).
