The Path to National Suicide: U.S. fertility rates have dropped over the last two centuries and show no sign of rising
American Thinker ^ | 05/23/2023 | Robert Weissberg

Without unrestricted immigration, nations like the United States cannot survive unless women have about 2.1 children each (the .1 reflects women who do not have children).  The bad news is that the U.S. is falling short in reproducing itself. Occasional exceptions such as the Baby Boom aside, U.S. fertility rates have dropped over the last two centuries and show no sign of rising to the 2.1 replacement level. We are currently at 1.6.

The baby shortfall has huge consequences beyond potentially filling the nation with immigrants. An aging population brings higher healthcare costs, budgets devoured by pensions, shrinking tax bases, labor shortages, empty schools and universities, and a stagnant economy.

Moreover, Africa aside, depopulation is worldwide and, apparently unfixable. Countries as diverse as Japan and Russia have tried the “obvious” solutions such as free childcare and subsidies, but to no avail.  Scandinavian countries offer lavish child-friendly policies but likewise fail to move the needle. Between 2006 and 2021, South Korea spent $200 billion for maternity leave, paid childcare, and similar pro-natal measures, but the fertility rate dropped from 1.1 to .81.

This should be a major political issue regardless of one’s ideology. The Left surely needs a healthy economy to finance its welfare state while businesses depend on factory and service workers. Nobody wants a shrinking workforce whose principal responsibility is to fund a growing geriatric population.

Our fertility problems acknowledged, what is being done to encourage more children?  Where are educators in this crisis who might help shape a pro-child culture? Schools and the media are certainly relevant.  Recall the popular Dick and Jane elementary school reading books of the 1950s featuring an idyllic family or family-friendly TV-sitcoms from that era.

Amazingly, much of our education establishment is pushing youngsters away from family life

Replacements are currently arriving. You’ll be paying their way for a while. Until you have no more money.

The culture of death is a real thing.

—Abortion
—Sterilization
—Homosexuality, Sex changes, etc.
—Dual income childless couples
—Feminism which sees marriage as a prison and men as competition or the enemy
—Hormonal contraceptives which often cause issues later when trying to conceive and which is downplayed

Think about it, name me one area/aspect where in reality we are on the side of life today?

Euthanasia?

Hell, we have the MSM glorifying the death pod because this technological break through allows people to just die without a struggle.

https://www.euronews.com/next/2021/12/08/the-sarco-suicide-pod-aims-to-take-assisted-dying-out-of-doctors-hands (how progressive and humane!)

Tell me one area, just one single place where we are on the side of life today?

When you literally worship death, don’t be surprised when your society dies.

Precisely. It’s a fundamental ecological principle. If you artificially restrict the growth of one population, all you do is make room for the growth of another more vigorous population.

Amazing how people who keep saying “Follow the science” can’t seem to follow it themselves.

Nobody’s trying the real “obvious” solutions: get rid of feminism, birth control and abortion.

Not to worry - the borders are open and the newcomers have no problem multiplying.

Naomi Wolf does an outstanding job explaining how injuries from the Vax and complication related to fertility are having devastating effects on people's health.

Let's not forget that according to "our betters" the ideal world population is 500 million or so mostly serfs. Wasn't Bill Gates among them?

U.S. birth rates drop as women wait to have babies
12JAN2023
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/u-s-birth-rate-decline-national-center-for-health-statistics-report/

American women are having fewer babies, and they’re having them later in life, government figures released Tuesday show. Data collected by the National Center for Health Statistics — the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s statistic arm — showed a sharp decline in fertility rates in recent years, with most women having an average of 1.3 babies and an increasing percentage giving birth at age 35 or older.

As long as the ones NOT having children are the old libtards offspring, freak show crowd, I see it as a win.

Take a look at the top 25 countries with the highest fertility rates and you’ll see they are in Africa.

In 1905, Theodore Roosevelt spoke about the "race suicide" of White Anglo-Saxon Protestants refusing to have children. (The "better" WASP classes were worst in this: it took 5 college educated WASP women to produce 1 child.) The leading families in the aftermath of this slow death-spiral were led by the Rockefellers. Since the causes are the great industrialists wanting a high-spending consumer class to replace children with purchases, and since population-control has to be linked with sexual-freedom, the leaders, the Rockefellers, didn't try to introduce a population-regeneration program as Viktor Orban's Hungary is implementing. Instead, the Rockefellers became fixated on reducing the population of Catholics. In 1961 the Rockefellers paid for a series of secret conferences at Notre Dame University to induce Catholics to accept contraception. (It's like Aesop's fable of "the dog and the ox": The dog sits growling in the ox's hay manger; the dog can't eat the hay, but it can prevent the ox from being able to eat it. The Rockefellers didn't want their own people having children, but they could prevent the Catholics from taking over, by getting them to take contraception.) As experts in the manufacture of consent, the Rockefellers were successful, and Catholics today use contraception at slightly more than the rate of the general population. Where are the great numbers of English, Dutch and German, WASP names the once bolstered the strength of the American population? I live in Elk Grove, California, a middle-middle-class area with people vigorously pursuing the once- American Dream. There are people from all over the earth--except from north-western Europe. They have all died off. You don't see a "white" face there. Not necessarily African-Americans -- they don't buy the "segregation" that the great foundations and the federal government used to break up Catholic neighborhoods in the 1960s, Black people have the sense to want to live with their own people, where they can feel secure, so they live in north Elk Grove and South Sacramento. These new, middle-class people are Indian, South-Asian, and people from all-over--except NW Europe.

What demographic are they looking at? There are specific groups of people multiplying like rats (and they are not the kind who contribute generously or positively to society).

"The Left surely needs a healthy economy to finance its welfare state."

They don't care. They want to make sure the Historic American population is replaced with a dependent population which they can easily control and lord over.

The entire system is bound to collapse when it runs out of businesses and productive citizens to tap for its unsustainable lefty schemes.

But then that's their goal.

Many American educators are promoting transgenderism - which leads to infertility.

My wife and I had 8 daughters.

No. 7 is about to go to Rice. 1-6 are a mix of doctors, engineers, and soldiers/intelligence (and soldier/engineers). 1-5 each have 2-3 kiddos, so far. Six is getting married.

Of 1-7, six are frum, with one modern orthodox who I think is really a spy, so blending in comes with the territory.

Wife said the hotel was closed at 7 and got an “whoops” four years later, who may be the smartest of the bunch, despite being the baby.

Did our part!
