Fans on Twitter are criticizing the Georgia football “culture” after recruit Jamaal Jarrett uttered a racist remark during a live stream of the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday.
Jarrett, a four-star defensive tackle recruit who committed to play under Kirby Smart starting in 2023, derogatorily said “ching chong” while an Asian child announced the Falcons’ eighth pick in the draft – and now some are calling for consequences.
“Suspend him and public apology needed,” one Twitter user wrote.

Mocking an Asian kid who lost a parent to brain cancer. Classy, Jamaal, classy.
If Jamaal were white, he’d be hanging up his cleats permanently. But his skin color will likely earn him a pass here, as the NFL drafts a statement for him about how sorry he is for his insensitivity and how hard he’ll work to combat prejudice everywhere, blah blah blah.
Make him spend a weekend with Rosie O’Donnell.
To hell with idiots on Twitter
Compare and contrast to the White QB prodigy, from Tim Tebow’s HS who has been destroyed because he sung a rap song 7 years ago and said the N word
Ching Chong is disgraceful. I would have said, “Hong Kong Phuey!”
I swear this country is insane. How many sane people are truly left in this once great country. We have idiots, perverts, immoral, animals and DemonCraps running all over the place.
So what? I hate the dawgs but does everything have to be offensive these days?
Rofl!!!
Most of my relatives went to school in Athens, and I don’t hate the dawgs, I despise them. That being said, The difference in culture or lack of it, in the last 20 years is amazing. Football players always got preferential treatment, at both Athens and Gainesville, but they used to show respect for Professors and others, especially female or smaller students, because if bad behavior reports got back to the coaches, the player(s) would spend hours running laps in penance. Now the money machine that college football has become has led to the players thinking they don’t have boundaries because they are the moneymakers, not students who need to pay attention and set examples. The NCAA is corrupt, and is killing all sports, not just title 9. Players are signing deals with agents while still ostensibly non professional college students. Bullshit. Time for state legislatures to overhaul the college sports programs. Make college back into institutions that enrich society, not coaches and players. ( or Professors and Administrators)
Oh for Heaven’s sake.
At a girls (6th grade) bbk tourney there was an Asian player that had such moves the song “everybody was king fu fighting” stuck in my head.
I want to apologize.
PS. Everyone knows Blacks can’t be racist. So there’s that.
Kung fu fighting
I know, they’re all crybullies, the lot of them!
I grew up with Siamese cats
They’re fierce
I have had Siamese cats in my home my entire life, and they were (and are) the most loyal animals ever...they can draw blood when they need to, though...
