Stigmas and prejudices often stop people with tattoos from being hired but this worker is done with the unfair treatment.
A woman is calling out her former boss for preferring to hire people who don't have any tattoos or piercings.
In a TikTok video, Ellie, who worked as a barista, explained that while working at a cafe, she ran into issues with her boss surrounding the idea of employees being hired who didn't have a clean-cut look about them.
"We had to read all their handbooks, and they do allow tattoos as long as they're not on your face or neck," she revealed. "But there's no nose rings." Ellie herself has tattoos on her arms, and a nose ring in.
She continued, saying that the management allowed her to keep her nose ring in while she was working, but still ran into some snide comments being said by her manager.
"The manager was talking and had to interview some people and was like, 'I interviewed this candidate and she didn't even have any tattoos or nose rings like I'm so excited.'" After hearing that, Ellie pointed out that she works as a barista, who is more than likely getting paid minimum wage.

I had a pierced tatted up server at a local fast-food-on-a-plate franchise BC19, a couple of fresh piercings looked a little raw. After menus were passed out, I told the date, “we’re leaving I hope you don’t mind” she nodded and we departed. If she had asked why or declined to leave, she was on her own.
Whenever a clerk with a nose ring serves me, I am always tempted to clip it with a rope and pull.
Your mom is a smart woman.
The first thing tattoos show is financial irresponsibility.
Can we add obese to the list not only because it’s unappetizing but also indicative of negative personal choices?
i don’t like to see facial/tongue piercings on food service workers. I also hate huge “sideshow bob” hair.
If you look like you don’t know how to wash I don’t want ya touching my food.

Maybe it's my fault for telling my kids silly stories in the Bible, including Abraham's servant using a nose ring to woo Rebekah for Isaac (Genesis 24:22, though the Hebrew word "nexem" might be earring LOL).
It affects the ability to attract customers and sell coffee you stupid bitch.
BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO BUY COFFEE THERE ARE FORCED TO LOOK AT YOUR DISGUSTING SELF...
Pretty girls are supposed to be customer facing. That reminds me of a story from High School. One of my friends used to get busted on because he was “pretty”. One day he made a big deal out of his promotion to cashier at McDonalds. We all told him that he was pretty like a girl and that’s the only way he got to be a cashier.

I think it is the former. Tattoos are everywhere in the 40 year old and younger set. For various reasons I visit the hospital a few times a month.
Even some of the Urgent care staff or Medical Assistants have those sleeve tattoos, that look like a striped Barber pole.
As a woman, I agree. Clean Appearance matters.
I wouldn’t think most Starbucks customers would mind looking at them, but personally I wouldn’t hire someone to interface with the public who had visible tats or nose rings. Frankly, the whole thing is gross and demeaning. I don’t want to look at someone’s buggery nose ring or to question their choices in body art when I am trying to deal with them any more than I want them to tell me which pronouns I should use to address them.
Tattoos have destroyed a generation of female beauty.
*********
How about a free government tattoo removal program for the sake of female beauty restoration? (One of my daughters would run to the removal site.) Use some of the money wasted on the Ukraine.
more tattoos and more piercings = demonstrates poor decision making for life, probably driven by a greater chance of having mental health issues
Life’s reality...even if a given individual may be perfectly fine.
It might be easier to ask some questions...
1. Did you vote for Biden?
2. How many genders exist?
3. etc...
