The European Union and Germany have reached an agreement that will allow combustion engines to continue to be used in new cars after 2035, but only with synthetic fuels, the 'e-fuels'.

The agreement reached will allow the countries of the European Union to approve the Euro 7 standard, presented by Brussels, which aims to accelerate the fight against climate change in Europe, with a drastic reduction in all harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

Once the new standard is approved, the European Commission will present a regulation that will allow companies in the automotive sector to continue to produce cars with combustion engines, provided that they use carbon-neutral fuels.

The first waiver.

The next one will permit use of fuels that are created with a pump powered by electricity (which pretty much all oil field pumps are).

Combustion engines will continue after 2035, but only with synthetic fuels made from even more of the US corn supply.

Food is not for people, but for vehicles! People after 2035 are forced to eat insects because all their food is used to make fuel.

They’re totally insane...
We’re sitting on enough oil/gas to power the USA for a long, long time.....they just hate America. Wish they’d just pack and leave for China....never to return.

This is a story about the EU plans for ICE vehicles and synth fuels. Well maybe this is a step back from the insanity.

So now, according to the “scientists”, synthetic fuel is ok, but natural fuel is a planet destroying toxin. How do the dumb masses fall for this idiocy?

If that stupidity unfolds, then here’s another prediction you can take to the bank: there will be a booming black market in fossil fuels.

Unconstitutional and unjust government laws create the syndicate.

The Yuropeons will be paying €15 per gallon for biofuel. Probably even more.

*IF* President Trump gets re-elected and *IF* the spineless GOP supports him maybe we can get some of this climate nonsense undone so we can keep our cars and trucks.

IF

Where do they think this "magic fuel" is going to come from. Somehow, we have to reverse these dumb a** climate policies.

No matter what you do...you're not going to change the climate. You're talking about an immense universe and a few billion people...which is like a pebble on the beach. It changes nothing.

The theory is alchol fules are made from plants which draw CO2 from the air so there is not a net CO2 emission. What a cluster F.

Europeans don’t have fuel. Hence the driving force.

Saudi’s have the fuel.
Russians have the fuel.
Europeans may have fuel but they don’t drill for it.

So, they’re replacing carbon-based fuels from oil with carbon-based fuels from plants?

2035 is a long way off.

By then, most of the lunatics will realize the error of their ways and will call of their economy-killing policies. If not, they can expect most European countries to become 3rd world economies, iow: poor to dead and looking for rescuers from those that didn’t buy into the insanity.
