Those damn wheels, we need commonse wheels laws.
Same exact thing almost happened to me but I was driving a tractor trailer on the DC beltway
I was in right lane and pickup in middle lane little bit in front. Rt rear wheel popped off his truck and started bouncing down my lane about 10ft in the air right in front of me!
I was slowing down like crazy so I wouldn’t run into it. It finally found it’s way over to the shoulder where it hit a jersey barrier and flew up and over the side of the road.
Had to change my drawers after that!
What a freak accident, hope everyone survived.
The wheel came back for a second strike at the target. Were there survivors?
It seems to me that this shows one of the main drawbacks of teeny tiny econoboxes.
Look closely at the pickup truck. The wheels look to be mounted on extenders that make them stick out. That could be why the wheel came of - a stupid modification by a stupid redneck. (if the video is even real, deep fakes are so good I don’t believe what I see anymore)
The video along with some of the comments made my laugh to tears. I don’t know why. But it’s pretty funny.
Those little boxy cars just get destroyed in an instant. Dang man, don’t buy those rolling coffins.
Guy about a half mile ahead of me was going up an overpass when the boat he was towing came off the trailer.
This looks like a HORRIBLE, FATAL accident caused by improperly installed custom wheels! A pickup with oversized wheels & tires sticking out JUST LIKE THAT was driving in front of me on Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler, TX just last week!
Here's another for ya. Have to watch the ending.
Fake.
BTTT!!!
My brother got passed on the left by a mounted tire once. It was good he watched where it went because it was his left rear tire,
That tire HATED that guy!
That looks like the 101 in Los Angeles. Do you know if it is?
This won’t happen when we all drive electric vehicles /s.
Over torque or tire shop forgot to tighten the lug nuts...
Knockoff after market counterfeit shiny chrome chinese lug nuts ?
The Wheel: “Hey, get back here. I’m not finished with you yet.”
Well...at the least the truck driver was courteous and signaled his lane change before the crash. (One ticket he will not get!)
The idiots that put these high offset rims on their pickups are stressing the wheel studs, the hubs, and suspension joints when those factory suspensions were not made for those wheels.
