He’s a chitty driver!.......
Oh, Rob...
Needs a flying car with wings
Hopefully no more Bang, Bang.
I had no idea he was still around.
Pray for him to get a driver.
Trade his Lexus for a Bentley, Rolls-Royce, or Maybach; name it Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and he’s all set.
And for the record I'm a lot closer to 80 than I care to admit.
Bleeding from the nose & mouth, a possible concussion, treated at the scene, and then picked up by a friend. Hope he’s getting further medical evaluation & treatment, as needed. He’s a Lefty, but an icon at 97.
Dick Van Dyke is probably not used to driving in these conditions. Remember before the current storms, we used to believe that it never rains in southern California. There was even a song by that name, back in 1972. And here in Kentucky, a wet state by comparison, we get a string of accidents after a dry spell ends.
And then tripped over the ottoman.
I’m guessing he also ran into the hassock.
Owning a car is expensive, at my vacation home I do not have a car. Going to town (2 miles) walk or ride with a neighbor 3-4 times a week to do business, buy groceries, have a couple of beers. Taxi back home at $5 x 20 trips is $100 a month, pay no gas, no registration, no insurance and never bought a car.
“has money to pay someone to drive him”
Really, you think a retired chiminy sweep has that kind of dough?
His wife is going to start hiding his car keys again, for his own safety.
Maybe she’ll drop them down the front of her blouse. Seems to work in those old movies.
Wow. He is still driving at 97. He has had a long run but may wish to reconsider driving himself.
In 1990, Dick Van Dyke and I sat at a small stripper pole table in Glendale, CO as we casually watched a topless girl dance for us during gaffer set up on a DIAGNOSIS MURDER shoot. I was too young and intimidated to start a conversation at the awkward situation - and it was a very surreal thing to be at a stripper table with my childhood film star idol.
He's a gatecrasher.
Not bad for 97. Sammy Hagar couldn’t drive at 55.
97 and driving in the rain... nope.
He should stay home on rainy days.
