Methodist Bible college in the U.K. fired a Christian theologian and threatened to report him as a terrorist because of his tweets in opposition to homosexuality, his attorneys claimed.
Dr. Aaron Edwards, who taught theology at Cliff College in Derbyshire, England, was dismissed from the school after being accused of "bringing the college into disrepute" on social media last month.
"Homosexuality is invading the church," Edwards tweeted on Feb. 19. "Evangelicals no longer see the severity of this [because] they're busy apologizing for their apparently barbaric homophobia, whether or not it's true.
"This *is* a ‘Gospel issue,’ by the way. If sin is no longer sin, we no longer need a Savior," Edwards added.
Edwards' tweet went viral and prompted blowback, to which Edwards responded: "That *is* the conservative view. The acceptance of homosexuality as ‘not sinful’ *is* an invasion upon the Church, doctrinally. This is not controversial. The acceptance is controversial. Most of the global Church would agree. It is not homophobic to declare homosexuality sinful..."

“Sin City of the South” was a more common name. Back in WWII over one million men passed through Fort Benning. If 15 percent engaged in Phenix City vice you can just imagine that it was big business. Today, most of the vice is on the Columbus, Georgia side of the river.

A couple of them came to my door once with pamphlets for the church. I asked them what it stood for and they didn't know.
I call them the “Church of Seinfeld”, a Church about nothing.
When I was young we often heard the term “queer”. We simply thought it was someone weird and nothing more as lots of teens acted weird for the attention it brought. Yes, I was raised a “sheltered” kid.
After graduation and in the work force I realized there was more to it as a trucker came in cussing a blue streak because he had been accosted by a “queer!”
Even the dictionaries were used euphemisms to not say clearly what it meant but I began to realize it was really something to watch out about.
Once in the military we had the talk about it and I could not believe my ears! Every year after that we had to sign papers showing we had the “talk”.
Now today they expect us to disavow the talk about these perverts that was so ingrained in us in the military! I’ve gotten 30 days in FB jail for speaking out on this subject several times. You can’t make us accept something as normal when their own actions show they are mentally ill.
When I used to drive through, I always thought of the great novels that could be written about the excitement, crime, and wimmen of Phenix City.
Good to know that Methodists aren’t effectively Christians at all anymore. There needs to be a great exodus out of these demonically co-opted institutions.
