NYC Assemblyman's Crash Landing on Long Island Beach Caught on Camera

The pilot behind Friday's emergency beach landing on Long Island has been revealed.
A New York state assemblyman was piloting the single-engine Beechcraft when his aircraft started experiencing engine failure. The pilot and a passenger on board both survived the unplanned touchdown on a beach in Shoreham.

The plane cost isn't the big deal. It's the operating, maintenance, and hangar costs. When the avionics were forced to three digit numbers after the decimal point I faced a $40K avionics expense. My Northstar Loran had to go because Loran was decommissioned.
The only thing worse than airplanes are boats.

All kinds of questions here. It sounds like the politician was drunk, crashed the plane and then didn’t want to deal with authorities or investigations until after he sobered up. Where are the cops? Where are the accident investigators after 4 hours?
