Heart-Stopping: Camera Catches Potential 'Jugging' as Nurse Runs for His Life
Western Journal ^ | March 18, 2023 | Jack Davis

Posted on 03/18/2023 10:31:05 PM PDT by george76

The cops call the crime “jugging.” It involves stalking someone who took cash out of a bank until their next stop, when predator meets prey.

It struck last month in Houston, when a man followed a woman 23 miles and then attacked her, stealing thousands of dollars and leaving her in a wheelchair.

Now, from Richardson, Texas, comes the story of a nurse who managed to outrun a man in what police believe was an attempted jugging

...

Video of the Monday incident was caught on a home security camera.

Ricky would not share his last name with the station, to make it harder to be located.

...

The incident began with a withdrawal at a Bank of America, followed by a short drive home. A car was behind him when he parked, but traffic happens.

The car at first headed away, then turned fast to approach him.

...

He said he has since realized he should have been more vigilant.

“My first mistake was, and the officer pointed it out as well, you come … out of the bank, nothing in your hand, nothing in your pocket. That’s how things should be done,” he said.

“And looking around is not enough because the officer said they could have binoculars, watching from a distance,”

...

some tips..

being vigilant at ATMS, which are often targeted; being aware of surroundings, including vehicles that may be suspicious because they do not move; and avoiding an open display of envelopes containing cash when leaving a bank.

I have found the safest time to visit a bank machine is around 6am in the morning, when these creeps have fallen asleep.

It sounds like a good opportunity to turn the tables, if you carried.

It happened recently when “a man” followed a woman home and left her crippled. They used to be called teens and youths. Calling them a man makes it look like Toxic Masculinity is the problem. I wonder if this story is about “a man”.

Whenever I get money from an ATM I’m looking everywhere for predators. And as soon as the money comes out, I put my back against the wall as I count and put my money away as I continue to scan the area. Then I continue my shopping or get in my vehicle. The way I maintain my situational awareness would have any potential criminal immediately decide to pass on me as his next victim, as criminals look to prey on the weak, not the strong. But if one were crazy enough to come after me, I still have my good buddy on my hip.

-
Just stuff it in your pocket and walk away.
You can count it later.

I get it at the drive thru during rush hour or in dribs and drabs “cash back” as I make purchases.

I have a weapon with me, an old car I’m not afraid to use as a weapon, and a short window left on this world.

I’m not the person you want to target. I’ll take you with me if it’s the last thing I do.

Sometime between 6 AM and noon time. The predators should be asleep by then.

I usually get my cash from the quicky mart
down at the end of the street.
I only keep enough cash around to pay my yardman/handy man.

The point of my post was:
there is no need to stand there and count it,
there is nothing you can do about an error
at that point in time.

Just stuff it in your pocket and go on about your business.
Buy a 6 pack or something, or anything,
and anybody watching you will think
you just pulled out enough cash for that.

I am like you.
If you try to take me out, you are going to go with me.

I never count my money at the ATM.

In all the time I have used ATMs, thousands of transactions, I have never gotten the incorrect amount.

The money comes out of the machine and into my pocket in one smooth movement. I can count it later. There is no value to counting it at the ATM.

ATM in the daytime, and put my wallet in my one pocket and the cash in the other - near my pistol.

I live in a crime-free town.

It must be; both cops are giving out parking tickets on Main Street.

Use a credit card and pay it of every month

Paying off your credit card at the end of the month is good advice but using it for everything is not.

Your credit card fees are funding those who would make you a slave.

The merchants that must pay transaction fees pass those cost on to you with higher prices.

Also remember the businesses like firearm distributers that the credit card banks refuse to service. Don't support their Liberal agenda buy doing business with them.

The more people use credit cards the closer we come to a cashless society and more Big Brother knows everything we do and the more we are enslaved by the Globalist.

It should be pretty easy for cops to catch “juggers” by sending an officer disguised as a civilian to a bank or ATM. He comes out flashing the cash and drives to a stake out location where backup is waiting.

I say lure them into a dark alley and then bushwhack-em. Easy as pie. Let the wild dogs eat the stinking bodies.

Same here. I spend as little time at an ATM as possible. Besides, even if you got the wrong amount (which has never happened to me either), what are you going to do? Bang on the ATM like it was a Coke machine or something, hoping that the rest falls out?

I also primarily use the ATM that is in the same building as where I work. So if anybody decides to "jug" me, they are going to have to sit in the lobby until I finish my workday. That could be quite boring.
