I’ve seen it in space movies, Stargate Atlantis had the best scenes of it. Small space rocks ripping thru the space suits like they were tissue paper. I often wonder how much truth there is to that in reality.
One one hand I can see it, but adding the fact that they are weightless in space, would the small grains just bounce off? Gets a little confusing when pondered!!

I'd like to see how they approached the glove problem. You can work around other issues like O2 pre-breathing and personal relief by using a hard suit design and diapers. The manual manipulators i.e. gloves, however, has always been a b&^ch. Trying to provide manipulative dexterity with environmental protection is a challenge. Current ISS crew struggle with moving their fingers against suit pressure and tend to lose fingernails during EVAs due to rubbing angainst the metal tips.
Useful space gloves... aye, there's the rub.
