To: Red Badger

I’ve seen it in space movies, Stargate Atlantis had the best scenes of it. Small space rocks ripping thru the space suits like they were tissue paper. I often wonder how much truth there is to that in reality.

One one hand I can see it, but adding the fact that they are weightless in space, would the small grains just bounce off? Gets a little confusing when pondered!!

The kinetic energy of a grain of sand is HUGE when it is doing 50,000 Miles Per Hour......................

They aren’t weightless in the lunar surface because there is partial gravity on the moon.
